Queensland Music Festival 

Queensland Music Festival (QMF) is a state-wide celebration of musical excellence with an international reputation and an unparalleled geographic reach.
QMF collaborate with the best of local, national and international talent to bring a broad tapestry of music to Queenslanders from all walks of life, in Brisbane and in regional and remote centres from the Torres Strait to the Gold Coast. Since 1999 the Festival has engaged audiences of more than one million people through projects in 82 regions across the State. QMF has redefined the traditional festival model to engage deeply with communities over time, igniting artistic potential and leaving a lasting legacy. In collaboration with councils and communities, QMF inspires participation in music-making and performances that reflect local culture and tell local stories.

Queensland Conservatorium Research Centre, Griffith University

The Queensland Conservatorium Research Centre (QCRC) undertakes leading-edge research that tackles the complex and multi-faceted role that music plays in contemporary society. To do this, the centre collaborates with national and international partners and stakeholders to cultivate projects that are creative and imaginative in content and design, interdisciplinary in nature, and dedicated to addressing the pressing needs of our time.

Noosa Alive

Noosa Alive is a 13 day festival of theatre, literature, music, dance, film, visual arts, cuisine and barrier-breaking forums – in one of Australia’s most enviable destinations: Noosa Heads, Queensland. Now recognised as one of Australia’s foremost regional cultural events, Noosa Alive was launched in 2002 by a local group of creative visionaries wanting to blend their passions with the beautiful environment that is Noosa. The festival’s founding members include prominent Australian playwright David Williamson, author Kristin Williamson, internationally renowned violinist Brett Dean, environmental activist Dr Michael Gloster, restaurateur Leonie Palmer-Fisher together with Rick Clayton and Ros McCauley.

Noosa Regional Gallery 

The Noosa Regional Gallery is located in the small village of Tewantin on the picturesque Noosa River, and is a short walk from the marina where tourists embark on river ferries to popular destinations. Established in 1981, the gallery has built a long-standing reputation as the premier regional gallery on the Sunshine Coast. 

Echoes.XYZ

The AURALITY app is powered by Echoes.XYZ - an innovative platform that gives you the freedom to explore breath-taking GPS-triggered audio tours wherever you are. The Echoes iOS and Android smartphone apps allow you to explore what’s nearby and listen to incredible tours from the community. 

World Listening Project

THE WORLD LISTENING PROJECT (WLP) is a not-for-profit organization devoted to understanding the world and its natural environment, societies and cultures through the practices of listening and field recording. AURALITY launches on World Listening Day, July 18, 2017. 

Leah Barclay 

AURALITY is directed by Leah Barclay, an Australian sound artist working at the intersection of art, science and technology.
